..more futuristic and allowing the visitor to show or hide each part of the layout. This is done using only Javascript(Prototype/Ajax) and CSS2

A classy update by Thierry .

Sale has produced a strong design with innovative touches like the main menu. Also check his clever little flash site Melodrom.

I like the way egographes uses CSS and javascript. This site design is excellent. Really a good work !

The egographies site is a bit of a puzzler for me. I seem to be missing something here, you can hide or show a header, the content or the navigation. It's nice to see the experiment but is there really any point to it?

It makes the http://webreakstuff.com/blog/2005/06/ajax-wont-cook-you-breakfast/ article on webreakstuff seem even more relevant than it was when I read it recently.

It's a cookie based feature and that gives it relevance.
Also, it's simply a personal site and, as with Inman and TheManinBlue and others, I think it's good that people go to the trouble of extending good design with examples of what can be achieved using unobtrusive JS.
I think the article by WeBreakThings has some relevance, but also reeks of being a sanctimonious lecture.

I know, it's nice to see sites pushing the limits of course. I've quite enjoyed reading webreakstuff lately, it's quite refreshing to read it but I do agree that sometimes it is a bit ott .

The Javascript Revolution is timely reading.

Note: This site has been updated yet again. No Ajax in site.

I hate to ruin the fun but plastikfantastik is a complete ripoff of iamkoa's site which has been around much longer. I just dont like it when people steal other peoples work and call it there own.
